Welcome Remarks

Welcome to the Website of the
State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission
of the State Council (SASAC)

According to the State Council Institutional Reform Scheme approved at the First Session of the 10th National People’s Congress of PRC, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC) has been set up. On the principle of separating government administration from enterprise management and separating ownership from management power, SASAC performs the responsibility as the investor on behalf of the state; supervises and manages the state-owned assets of enterprises according to law; guides and pushes forward the reform and restructuring of SOEs. SASAC appoints and removes top executives of the enterprises under the supervision of the Central Government, evaluates their performances, and grants them rewards or inflicts punishments. SASAC also directs and supervises the management work of local state-owned assets.

The website of SASAC is an important tool for implementing the supervision and management of state-owned assets. Guided by the important thought of Three Represents, our website will direct the reform of SOEs and promote the development of the state economy by providing policies, laws and regulations related to the supervision and management on state-owned assets and to the reform and development of SOEs. It will continuously improve the supervision and management of state-owned assets through setting up information network platform and developing e-government.

I hope that our efforts will help to build up a bridge, via Internet, for information exchange between SASAC and SOEs, enterprises of various ownerships, as well as all walks of life.
