Vice Chairman Li Wei Met with the CEO of Microsoft

On November 7, Vice Chairman Li Wei met with Mr. Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft, in Beijing. Both parties exchanged ideas on issues such as enterprise informatization, the use and protection of legal software and so on. Mr. Li Wei pointed out that the software industry, which was the fundamental and strategic industry for the nation, played an important key role in promoting economic and social development of the country. SASAC attached great importance to central SOEs informatization, encouraged and supported central SOEs to use legal software, enhanced the protection of IPR and gradually realized informatized management. Mr. Ballmer introduced the advantages of Microsoft in terms of informatization, and extended his willingness to enhance cooperation with SASAC and China’s central SOEs.
