Chairman Li Rongrong Met with Mr. Kenji Miyahara, vice president of Japan-China Economic Association

On Apr.17th, SASAC Chairman Li Rongrong met with Mr. Kenji Miyahara, former Chairman of Sumitomo Corporation and vice president of Japan-China Economic Association. Chairman Li briefed Japanese guests on the main work undertaken by SASAC in the past 5 years since SASAC was founded, and also pointed out that within the scope of global economic integration the cooperation between Chinese and Japanese companies would have a bright future because the two sides were highly complementary and could learn from each other. Mr. Miyahara gave a brief introduction on the investment of Sumitomo Corporation in China and its cooperation with central SOEs, he also admired the extraordinary performance of central SOEs under the leadership of SASAC. He said that Japanese corporations were willing to cooperate with central SOEs in wider areas. Both parties also exchanged views on the issues of common interests.
