Chairman Li Rongrong Attended “The Seminar for Celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China”

On September 2, SASAC Chairman Li Rongrong attended “The Seminar for Celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the Founding of PRC” in Tokyo, hosted by State Council Information Office of China (SCIO) and Nikkei Inc., and co-hosted by Japan Business Federation (Nippon Keidanren). On the seminar, Mr. Li Rongrong delivered a special speech named “SOEs in China Today”, and the introductory film of SASAC was also played. Both the speech and the film were wonderful and well received.

It was the first time to hold seminar abroad for celebrating the founding of New China. Economic, cultural and social development of China over the past six decades since the founding of the new China as well as the future trends of China-Japan relationship were discussed on the seminar. More than 3000 people registered for the seminar, and 800 people were randomly selected by lot. It showed that all Japanese sectors paid high attention to China and its relationship with Japan.

Messrs. Wang Chen, Minister of SCIO, Cui Tiankai, Chinese Ambassador to Japan, Li Zhongjie, Deputy Director of Party History Research Centre of CPC Central Committee, Ma Jiantang, Commissioner of National Bureau of Statistics of China, Toshihiro Nikai, Minister of Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, Katsuya Okada, Secretary General of the Democratic Party of Japan, Tsuneo Kita, President and CEO of Nikkei Inc, Mitarai Fujio, Chairman of Nippon Keidanren, and relevant officials from Bureau of Foreign Affairs, SASAC addressed at the Seminar as well.
