Chairman Li Rongrong Met with Chairman of Standard Chartered PLC.

On October 20, Chairman Li Rongrong met with Mr. John Peace, Chairman of Standard Chartered PLC.. Mr. Li Rongrong introduced the major work SASAC had done ever since its establishment in 2003 and the changes of Chinese Central SOEs. He pointed out that Central SOEs still lagged behind comparing with those leading multi-national companies and that they could cooperate in many areas. Mr. John Peace highly praised the achievements SASAC and Central SOEs had made and introduced the operational advantages of Standard Chartered Group in overseas market. He hoped in the future, Standard Chartered Group and Central SOEs would strengthen their collaboration. The two sides also exchanged views on the global financial crisis, economic recovery, etc..
