Seminar of the Responsible Persons of the Central SOEs Convened in China National Convention Center

Seminar of the Responsible Persons of the Central SOEs held by SASAC was convened in China National Convention Center on Dec 11th. Deloitte and Nomura Group presented analysis reports for the meeting.

Mr. Jim Quigley, CEO of Deloitte and Mr. Robert Kimmitt, Chairman of Cross-Border Investment Center of Deloitte explained the causes of the economic crisis and briefed on the response measures taken by Europe and America. They predicted the recovery trend of world economy in next two years; deeply analyzed the long-term impact of the crisis caused on the world economy, and offered suggestions for the enterprises to address the challenges.

Mr. Junichi Ujiie, Chairman of the Board of Nomura Holdings analyzed the case of Nomura’s acquisition of Lehman, and introduced Japan’s industrial structure as well as the measures of Japanese enterprises to tackle the financial crisis. By the research of Balance Sheet, Mr. Richard Koo, Chief Economist of Nomura Research Institute gave the audience an excellent presentation on world economy. He forecasted both short term and long term economic trend, and answered questions raised by the participants.

SASAC Chairman Li Rongrong, Vice Chairman Shao Ning, Huang Danhua, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Committee Jia Fuxing, and Member of SASAC CPC Committee Li Shousheng were presented at the seminar. There were altogether 300 people attending including responsible persons from the Central SOEs, Chairmen of the Supervisory Panels of the State Key Enterprise and related departments of SASAC.
