Chairman Li Rongrong Met with Vice Chairman of Procter & Gamble Company

On December 10, Chairman Li Rongrong met with Werner Geissler, Vice Chairman of Procter & Gamble Company.

Mr. Geissler introduced the development and performance of P&G in China and its future developing plan. He hoped that P&G could cooperate with Chinese central SOEs to prompt technical innovation, diversify and popularize products. Chairman Li welcomed P&G’s strategic plan to increase their investment in China and strengthen their cooperation with the central SOEs. He pointed out that the global financial crisis had generated enormous impact on world’s economy. The strategy of expanding domestic demand implemented by Chinese government had positive effects, yet there were still many problems to be addressed. Chinese enterprises should learn from top multinationals like P&G in order to enhance innovation abilities, become even stronger and undertake their social responsibilities.

After watching the introduction film of SASAC, Mr. Geissler highly praised the achievements made by Chinese central SOEs under the leadership of SASAC and the optimistic spirit in it. He suggested that the film should reach more people so that they would be encouraged to overcome the difficulties of the financial crisis.
